This is a very dangerous instrument. I grabbed it thinking it would be an inexpensive thing to try without much lost if I didn't like it. I absolutely love it.
It's fun, easy to learn, and quite well made. But now I have found myself engrossed in a new instrument which has had me just place an order for more whistles in other keys as well as some six hole transverse flutes (the fingering and technique is effectively the same) to fill out the range.
Only thing of note for people who have not played flutes with wood blocks: the higher octaves will be difficult to hit cleanly without warming up and getting the block wet. Your spit soaking the block makes it sound sweeter and makes those beautiful high notes easier to hit.
