In rehearsal and at gigs. So far only tested at rehearsal but I am very satisfied. The DSL sounds great and the band agrees!
I choose the Creambacks on initial recommendation for Greenbacks, but higher power capability is always nice and these are said to sound with a more tight bottom than Greenbacks which is nice. Vintage 30 was a cheaper alternative, but could potentially be a mismatch for a Marshall DSL, based on tone. V30 has lowered mids and are bright sounding, just like the DSLs. It could have been too much in both ways. Greenbacks/Creambacks have enhanced mids and are smooth sounding which may be the better match. At least for closing in on a classic Marshall sound.
Surprisingly these where made in the UK, I thought everything was Chinese these days but maybe not.
Cons are the price, and the weight, some may prefer Creamback Neo for lighter weight. Anyway, my amp sounds very good through these, I am a happy customer. Thanks to Thomann for a fast and painless delivery!
