I've had a Flashback Delay 4X (TC Electronics), a Replay Box (T-rex) and a Tape Delay (Empress) before, which are all digital delays. This is my first encounter with an analog delay pedal.
Soundwise, this little analog buy beats everything I've tried before. The repeats are more distinguished in my guitar tone, and has more of a percussive quality which makes them pop out a bit more (without taking over). I find this to suit my play style better, and I tend to use delay more frequently now with this pedal. My pedal board consists of 9 pedals (tuner, compressor, wah, fuzz, vibrato, delay, reverb, looper, Iridium) and the delay is clearly cutting through. It sounds spectacular.
Design-wise, it bugs me that the power jack is on top. Unnecessary, and takes extra space.
If this pedal had tap tempo and stereo, it would make other brands obsolete. It's a shame, and why I knocked off stars on features. This pedal is perfect if you use it for slap back, but is quite annoying when you need to fit a certain tempo. A modulation knob would also make sense, and is featured in many of its competitors. Not a deal breaker for me, though.
The sound you get outweighs its flaws. Try it!
