Incredible for my saxophone
This is a great mic for recording saxophone.
Beware that this is a very directed mic, so you will have to keep your saxophone aimed towards it at all times. Being very directed makes it excellent for home recording since your ugly room acoustics are not picked up.
If you are ok with aiming your saxophone, you can get very good recordings! (I used it with a Focusrite ISA-one preamp, and rme 9632 interface).

Try it on vocals
I wouldn't normally reach for a ribbon mic if I wanted to try something else for vocals than my Neumann condenser mics, they tend to sound too dull. This one is crisp. I's say it will work on just anything, except perhaps as the ribbon companion to an SM 57 when miking up a guitar amp, where you want the duller characteristics to complement the sharper dynamic mic.

Fun ribbon mic with character
This is a good ribbon mic and I believe you can use it on pretty much any source with success. It has a nice warm character with a slight vintage touch on the top (not too bright). I've used a pair as drum overhead microphones and they sound very sweet. I've also used the mic for acoustic guitar as well as electric guitar (amp) and it shines. It captures the full sound better than a dynamic and I don't feel the need for an extra condenser microphone on the amp using the m160. Can highly recommend this if you're after a good allround mic with a bit of mojo...
