There are few rotary speaker emulators that really sound good and not just like a chorus/tremolo combo. This is one of them.
Adjusting the settings is a breeze. The slow setting is so characteristic that when I tried it out of the box, it immediately nailed the typical Gilmour sound with ease.
Compared to other pedals, it sounds so "natural". Like you're actually hearing the rotary speakers instead of an effect.
It's also quite subtle and clear. On low speed you hear a subtle phasing that doesn't muddy the sound. On high speeds it's the same thing. Even with heavy distortion every tone is clear and not muffled.
The speed ramping works great. I haven't tried an expression pedal yet. But I don't think I need one for this pedal.
The whole pedal breathes quality. It's quite heavy for its size. The knobs feel good. Yeah, I know that sounds strange. But I'm one of those people that can actually feel when cheap potentiometers are used. Not in this case.
Nice texture on the housing and separate top plate with all the decals.
I'd definitely recommend this pedal to anyone looking for the "real thing"
