After owning more than a dozen reverb units out there included lexicon pcm 70 and 81, empress, strymons, I ended up with this one. To me it's the closest thing to a Lexicon without spending a fortune on a Chase bliss 1978.
This thing even heats up like a rack unit after 20 minutes that is on...it is that powerful!
The sound is perfection which is what it really matters to me the rest can be improved for sure. I'd love to have at least 4 presets instead of just 1 and I don't care about midi I don't see a reverb pedal like something you want to change presets for every song, Reverb is more like the foundation of the sound you leave it there on all the time maybe switching from plate to a hall to a room to a spring and that's it ! Therefore 4 presets would be Ideal however due to the nature of the reverb they should always being finally tweaked at the venue. I've never used a preset that didn't need to be tweaked at the gig...parameters like mix and feedback always need to be adjusted according to the venue and more or less also the other stuff needs to be adjusted that's why having 100 presets on a reverb unit makes no sense. I'd like just 4 ;) Although I love displays on reverb/delay pedals I don't really miss one here maybe we should learn to rely more on our ears than on displays. In conclusion I believe this reverb sound super creamy and natural and doesn't have all those weird unnatural artifacts that make other known brands famous for. +1 for the Golden!
