Presto Ultralights
What a pleasant surprise when I put these strings on my bass. beautiful feel, surprisingly load. I wasn't expecting that. In the following five days I played in small rooms, large halls and outdoors. The strings were capable of keeping tune in all environments and I just have to comment again about the sound, really sweet and all the vibrations on my double bass felt as though they belonged to me. I could wax lyrical about these strings but they really need to be heard and felt to appreciate their exceptional quality

Nice and low tension, great for magnetic pickup
A bit lower tension than most solo string sets, and a bit higher than a bumped steel set.
Very easy on the fingertips. Sound is not as dark as you would expect, has some brightness/sustain to it, but not in a bad way. Acoustic volume is high for low tension strings.
Durability is good. Keeps in tune.
Works well with a magnetic pickup.
Would recommend if you prefer a magnetic pickup. For piezo pickups synthetic strings may be a better alternative for a darker tone.

great tone, good projection but wears out.
These strings are a good compromise for slap/pizz players.
The provide a good bottom end, are really easy on the fingers and still can be heard without amplification. But after two years of intense slapping, they started to lose their tension so that the drop in tonal height during the decay actually became a problem. You have to change them when this happens, or you will be playing slightly out of tune, no matter how good your intonation happens to be.. but until then they are a good choice, unless you want to use a bow: then you should look elsewhere.

Good sounding ULT piz strings
Positives:
+ Ultra Low Tension (if your bass needs that, or you)
+ needs higher string heights
+ sound pretty good
+ can reduce wear on a soft fingerboard (large diameter & nylon cover)
Negatives:
- Ultra Low Tension (if you like Starks)
- I can not bow them always reliably
- may require a dedicated nut (or adaptation) & bridge adaptation
- needs higher string heights

Great strings for less money
I´ve strunk my Thomann 1L double bass with these strings. And I´ve to say, it was a real good decision. The presto nylon strings are very comfortable to play and sounds realy good for slap techniques but also for pizicato styles. I use them in an oldschool sounding 50th rock and roll band and are very satisfied.
Recommended to try!

PRESTO NYLONWOUND ULTRALIGHT
Been new to the upright bass I asked the Thomann team for advice on the type of string I needed(rockabilly style). they recommended these strings and they were perfect, they are very supple and make playing much easier on the righthand, they also stay in tune very well which I thought would be a problem. I would highly recommend these strings.

Good but not Perfect
This strings are easy to handle and they make a very loud and good sound
but the pressure of them are very high. Its difficult for me to Slap them and the sound is more modern.
