The Gotoh GE103B-T bridge is a very good replacement bridge for the low-priced and mid-priced guitars with a tune-o-matic bridge.
The obvious advantage is the lack of the retaining wire, with a construction more solid, as retaining wire allows for some rattling and is more fragile during the intonation procedure. Also the Gotoh bridge has longer length travel for individual saddles which helps with intonating a guitar without reversing the saddles.
I replaced a stock tune-o-matic bridge with a retaining wire with this Gotoh, and the difference was noticable: the guitar was easier to intonate and the intonation was very stable since that very moment.
However, the shaft was considerably thinner than the hole in the guitar body, so the standart shafts that came on the guitar had to be used.
Overall the product is very good and helps a lot to improve intonation and deal with some of the problems of standard tune-o-matic bridges with retaining wires.
