Gibraltar GEMS Elect. Mounting Station

I bought this stand for use with an Ableton Push 1 in live gig situations. It is well made, very solid feeling and looks like it will take a lot of battering. Some very, very small issues to be aware of:

*The adjustable height range is great for playing standing up
*The adjustable height does not go quite low enough for me when sitting to play completely comfortably. I can tilt the push forward though which alleviates this somewhat.
*The clamps are good and key the Push secure on the top but you must be careful to set them and tighten correctly.
*At a high height the stand becomes a little less stable and resistant to knocks, this is normal due to centre of gravity but you should be aware of it (it is VERY sturdy at lower heights).
*The brushed metal that your Electronic device sits on have well rounded edges but will likely still remove some paint from the underside

Overall this is a fantastic piece of gear and feels well worth the cost for me and my purposes.

I've used this stand to mount mixing desks, laptops, synths, midi keyboards and iPads. Thanks to the adjustable rubber stoppers you can easily hold items of any size in place, and tilt to the desired angle thanks to the heavy duty wing screws underneath.

The stand is strong, and with a single braced bottom isn't too heavy. Admittedly if this was re-designed with an aluminum frame that would be even lighter which would be nice.

Well worth being part of your hardware collection for those awkward sized instruments that you want positioning in your set up.

This stand is a great tool for mounting instruments like my laptop, octatrack, or the SSL SiX for easy access.

Gibraltar is a renowned pro drum hardware manufacturer, so of course the quality is tough as nine inch nails.

Out the box, it's also easy to assemble and it's also quick to make adjustments for different instruments.

It's expensive for a stand, but there just isn't anything that comes close for stage and studio use.
