Who needs flame?

Always loved Les Paul bursts but not a fan of flames. So when it came time to fulfil a life time dream of owning a custom shop I went with the 58 and I have not regretted it. The guitar is beautiful, feels like holding live history in your hands and plays like a dream, with its old-school frets and thick, comfortable neck. The pickups are incredibly flexible and respond to everything you throw at them - dirty blues and rugged cleans sing on the neck pickup and the neck can get searing enough for some absolutely convincing metal snarl through the right OD. A guitar to last you a lifetime.

Une VOS déballée à l' arrivée

L' appellation "Vintage Original Specs" ne désigne pas uniquement le fait que la guitare serait produite comme à l' époque du modèle concerné, mais également qu' elle a subit un vieillissement artificiel qui peut surprendre au premier abord : Verni micro rayé ici et là, points de rouille sur les mécaniques, incrustations jaunies de façon aléatoire, il faut bien le dire.
Passés les détails, il m' a fallu quelques jours pour en accepter certains, la guitare recherchée est bien là, superbe pour qui convoite le plain top de la Les Paul R8 au burst ravageur.

Il m' a fallut également digérer le fait que ce cher Thomann m' ait envoyé une guitare déballée, reconditionnée, mais pas "stock B" d' après les échanges que j' ai pu avoir avec différents interlocuteurs, mais quand même... Le "unboxing" s' est fait avant moi, par quelqu' un d' autre et pour des raisons qui n' engagent que le vendeur..

Sinon, et bien pour en revenir à la guitare...Les différentes pièces de bois choisies apparaissent en effet au dessus du lot des "Standard, Studio et autres", c' est une douceur pour les yeux comme pour les oreilles.
En résumé, je la garde.
