good hardware
Built excelently, smooth knobs. It's heavy so it doesn't move around. Gain knobs are tiny and not very precise tho their high resistance helps, you can sort of "nugde" them in to position. I find that the blinking lights, that are showing whether its clipping or not, are not very usefull but they give you an idea.
The "Air" function wich I think is supposed to emulate analogue preamps makes the recording sound more grainy. I didn't got a chance to use it properly tho.
Reasonable headphone amp, you won't drive magnetostats with this but 7xx series AKG's sound much softer and DT770's less bloated than from a laptop souncard. I generally stop at around 10 o'clock position. Can actually make bad IEM's rattle, but it cant pop them. I expected it to sound like a Topping but it's very... uneventful, almost boring.
Yes it can absolutely be used for music, you don't need 2 different souncards for 2 different things.
I have not heard a single bit of noise, probobly because I'm using very inefficient headphones and high input levels.
Both front and back are glossy and they expose all fingerprints
