Great SDCs for overheads, sound more expensive than their price
I have a home recording studio and I bought these based on the recommendations of many pros at the legendary GearSlutz forum.
They were right. This is one of the great deals out there - these mics are worth their price and more.
I use them as drums overhead, sometimes to capture a little sparkle from acoustic instruments. They are clear, clean, fast and don't exaggerate the top frequencies too much, which is, sadly, the norm in modern microphones - they allow the body of the cymbals to be captured very nicely and convincingly. I would say they are on the warm side of neutral, just perfect for a nicely tuned drum set or acoustic instruments.
PROS: sound, character, neutrality, clarity, speed, relative warmth.
CONS: a small thing, but the 2 switches could be labelled, I always forget which way is "ON" and which is "OFF" (fortunately it's easy to hear in monitors).
In short: worth every penny, a real gem for a home or small commercial recording studio.
