Firstly: I use these pickups in an Ibanez AS93 (hollowbody) and an Epiphone Gothic Explorer (solid body). I use a bunch of effects, high gain distortion and fuzz pedals and loud amps when in the rehearsal room, so my review will be based on this setup.
What I probably don't have to mention is that these pickups are an absolutely hot bonkers mess. An upgrade to basically every set of stock pickups. Seymour Duncan is always a quality upgrade to your guitar, and if you play rock or higher gain, this set will do. Very responsive and articulate, but mostly loooouuuuud. This will make your mother cry and your dad put you up for adoption.
Although the pickups are articulate, what should not be forgotten is that these are high output, which means they are basically useless in a hollowbody guitar (i.e. my Ibanez). It will resonate and feedback and give you a hard time being quiet. But let's be fair, you don't buy these to be quiet, do you?
In solid body guitars, these pickups absolutely scream. If that is what you need, then go for this set. If you have a hollow body, maybe not so much...
