The dials cannot be tightened enough to completely stop the spring in the hinges, so if you attach a microphone on it that too light, it is almost impossible to adjust the arm properly. In addition, the hinges are made of plastic and they split open if the arm goes too far back, a position it automatically goes to because the springs are too strong and the dials can't be tight enough. The cable duct is very well done though, although it is not mentioned in the manual, along with some other components that came with it. (Also, the description on the product page is incorrect, the cable duct is on the top of the arm, not the underside).
The arm comes shipped in the fully extended position, making the box ridiculously long. This box then came in an even longer box, wasting a lot of paper.
