I bought this drum throne a few days back from Thomann, and took delivery of it two days ago.?Out of the box, assembly took me less than 3 minutes to complete. Some of the joints and hinges needed a bit of lubrication when they came out of the box, to make them all work smooth and effortlessly. My first impression of this seat was very good. It looks and feels like a quality product.??After using the seat a few times for long guitar sessions, I was amazed by the comfort of the seat. The seating pad is a bit hard, but very supportive, and my back seems to really enjoy the back support. The stability of the throne is ok. Especially considering it costs less than 70 euro?s. The pneumatic mechanism is top notch. It adjusts really well, and can be done quickly mid song.
There is a bit of play where the seat joins to the tri-pod, which can make the seat feel slightly wobbly, but it really isn?t to bad. After I tightened some of the nuts in the hinges with a 13mm spanner, this wobbliness disappeared almost completely. The only real concern I have is the ?Leather? used to cover the seat and back support pad. ?It doesn?t feel and look like it?s going to last as long as the rest of the chair. This is a shame considering the tripod and pneumatic mechanism are very well made, and feel like they?ll last forever only to be let down by the ?leather? covering the seating pads.. I would have rather payed 10 euro?s or so more for this throne and have a better material covering the seating pads to make the product last longer.
All in all, an amazing product for a very good price, this must be the best cheap pneumatic drum throne.??
