A joy to play
What makes a great guitar? One that keeps you playing and brings you new ideas.
This guitar feels really nice, the nick length/width/thickness is really comfortable. Settings up the bridge nicely and intonating the guitar makes it even better and this was easy to do.
The guitar doesn't sound boomy or bass heavy. Compared to a Tele or Les Paul it might even lack some character, which is a good thing. It's not a long scale tele, it's THIS guitar. With the added scale and thicker strings (love wounded G) the guitar sounds more piano like.
The P90's give a very open and defined sound, tuners feel good too. Clean tones are grand, crunch is dynamic and heavy tones rock (if P90s are good enough for Neurosis...).
The (paint) finish is perfect, the only real flaw is the neck pickup pushed against the end of the fretboard. Small improvement they should solve in the near future.
All in all a great guitar for an unrealistic low price.
