Let’s not even mention (for now) the amazing ageing work that was done to these tuners, but let’s start through the bare quality of these Gotohs. Having played with numerous top tear basses, I can tell you that these tuners are up there with the best you’d find in any £4K + price range Custom Shop instrument. They’re silk smooth and the precision is almost unreal, easy to instal, things seem to come together amazingly well, so quality is 10/10 for sure. And now to the finish, which is the cherry on the cake. My guitar tech asked me “where did you get these vintage tuners?”, and he’s an experienced dude, so the finish is so well pulled that it genuinely looks vintage, the touch feel as well is crazy similar to what you’d feel if you’d be tuning a 1962 Jazz Bass, not joking. All in all, worth every penny, go for it, you wont regret!

Lovely tuners... Awful screws.
The tuners are lovely, nicely aged and good quality feel.. but the screws.. what are they made of, plastic?? 2 screws broke without much pressure and I'm left with half screws embedded in the headstock.. I had to source alternative screws and would recommend the same to anyone else buying these... annoying...
