My old (80s) 12-band eq finally gave up, so I needed something new. My first idea was that a good analog eq will set me back for a lot of money. So when I found this model on Thomann website, I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. The sliders, even though very small, work precisely and normally one wouldn't need to use them much more than only for setting once if used stationary. To me the peak indicators are a nice bonus. Some people complain about high hiss levels. This may be the case if using the eq in between pre- and main amps, where it sits behind volume controls. Noise floor would always be amplified where it might hurt the audio, if fed at low levels. In a standard home audio configuration, say looped over recording monitor connections, this is not the case and in fact the signal-to-noise level is so good that there will be no audible hiss. I am very pleased with the design, the quality and the fact that the device runs very cool. Recommended for any situation beside the setup mentioned.
