excellent clip

On tour, I use this one specifically with my Snare mic instead of the Sennheiser clip and it's been holding up really well and tight. Due to the spring loaded clip it fit perfectly well on some custom built drums where a plastic clip would not.
Note that this clip is the same as the ones that have a Beyerdynamic mic build onto it, which means that the bottom part is designed to hold an XLR connector which is not there. So it can (sometimes) happen that a stage crew will accidentally connect the XLR cable to the bottom of this clip instead of the mic.
For professional touring use, this is an excellent clip. Versatile and really strong.

I use the Beyerdynamic MKV 87 when recording bands in different places, they reduce the need of many stands and work just as fine.
I use them mainly with a t bone DC 4000 kit but actually I used them also with some other mics like SM57 and they work as well with those.
The springs that they come with are very powerful and makes me thing they won't stop working easily, so I suppose them to last a few years.
They fit just as they are intended in snares and toms and will keep in place even when there is a huge amount of movement going on for example in toms.
Nothing bad to say of them at all, maybe that they wont fit in weird snare rims or the like, but I've yet to find myself in such a dilemma.
