A great stand and a great price
I read previously reviews about the gong stands and decided to go with this one. I'm so glad I did.
I work in different locations and needed a stand that was easy to carry, transport, put together and dismantle. Thankfully this one ticks all the boxes.
I use it with an 82cm gong which fits nicely with a few cm's either side. I was initially worried the gong would be too big for it, it's not. It's a great fit with room to move.
The stand has a lovely look to it, with a thick wooden frame which makes it very stable. Another concern. How stable would it be with an 82cm gong. Its great. Obviously when the gong is in full flow and swinging a little it pushes the stand to its full range with the occasional creak from the hinges connecting the floor panels to the arm panels. It's expected and isn't obvious to anyone else in the room other than me. I originally placed a hand on the top connecting beam to stop this from happening which it does but it is a minimal sound, I was just being over cautious.
Love this stand, very pleased with it and definitely recommend it.
I'd love a travel bag but can understand how difficult that would be with the shape of the parts.

A bit weak ...
I bought this because it's made of wood and had good reviews. I can only say that those were a bit misleading because the structural stability of the stand is not great. I suspected this by looking at the design.
Where the legs meet the feet is a major weak spot, fixed with wood screws into the end-grain of the legs. However I reinforced this and after a year it's holding up well. The hooks where the gong hangs also needed a bit of attention to get them straight and even.
I only ever intended this stand to be used at home so it suits me well, now I've modified it. I use a demountable metal stand, which has much greater structural stability, when I take the gong [a 32"] out to workshops.

Beautiful
This stand is really sturdy, no side noises or squeaky noises whatsoever whilst playing (my gong is 75 cm). The wood is gorgeous and the detailing and finishing top notch. My gong is hanging pretty low tho, which can be difficult for some to play it comfortably especially with friction mallets. I am enjoying my easy to assemble stand a lot nonetheless!

Sturdy & gorgeous!
I upgraded my gong stand from a black metal to this beast and it was worth every penny. Its big & heavy BUT breaks down into three parts making it easy to load into the car. Lovely wood and is sturdy enough for use.

Quick set up gong stand
I bought this gong stand as I run sound baths and need to set up my gong very quickly and this is wonderful for that reason- only takes 1 minute to set it up and it's easy to carry around. It does move around a little bit when you are playing the gong, so often i have to secure it with my hand to stop any noise of the wood moving around. But I do love using it!

Fantastic Beechwood gong stand! So easy to assemble and looks amazing, no screws needed just wooden pegs cleverly assembled and adds to overall great appearance, stand can be assembled in seconds and also transported so easily if moving and using Gongs in different spaces. It is perfectly sturdy considering it's simple yet elegant design.

Superb Gong Stand
I bought 2 of these for a 30" Paiste Platonic Gong and 28" Paiste Symphonic Gong for giving a gong bath in a hall. Easy to assembly and disassembly, excellent stability throughout the performance and excellent price - highly recommend.
