A very clever tool for copying neck profiles

When reading the other reviews for this product I get the impression that some people don't really understand what this tool is actually meant for.

This tool is perfect for copying neck profiles from existing necks. You can take measurements at any point of the neck to make templates. If you craft guitar necks and want to copy a specific neck for a customer (or for yourself) this is a very clever little tool.

I'm sure it can have other uses too but I certainly wouldn't use it to check the curvature of the neck when doing a setup like another review mentioned. It's 100% not suitable for this job! You would need a straight edge (or a notched straight edge specifically made for guitars) for this. Or better still, adjust the guitar until it feels great with no buzzing!

Pues lo uso para copiar cejillas y radios de diapason entre otras muchas cosas. Esta herramienta es bastante mas currada y de calidad que otra más conocida de plástico

Ich nutze den Neck Ruler um das Halsprofil zu checken. Warum macht man sowas? So genau weiß ich es auch nicht, man muss den Hals ja einfach nur in die Hand nehmen, um zu fühlen ob er einem liegt, oder z.B. zu dick ist (hab nicht die größten Hände...). Aber so kann man die Profile direkt miteinander vergleichen, und sehen, warum der eine sich so anfühlt, der andere so.
Kleiner Kritikpunkt, im Ruler sind Metallstifte, wenn man das an den Hals drückt, stehen einem die Haare zu Berge, weil man immer das Gefühl hat, dass der Lack zerkratzt. Man sollte also vorsichtig sein. Es gibt sowas auf mit Plastik, ob da aber die Verarbeitung so ist...
Darum: etwas mit Vorsicht zu genießen.
