Acoustic guitars are notoriously known for being a pain to play electrified. If you want to get rid of the dreaded piezzo quack sound on your acoustic guitar, this is the way to go. The humbucker pickup in combination with the soundhole mic gives you a range of tonal options yet always staying true to the natural sound of your guitar. You'll probably find having the mic full on gives you the warmest and most rounded "natural" sound, though it might cause feedback issues when playing live, depending on the venue and audience size. That's when the blend option kicks in - e.g put it on 70/30, or try 50/50, 40/60 etc and see what suits you best. Overall, it's a great sounding little device, also very easy to mount without drilling any holes into your guitar. Over the years, I've tried several acoustic EQ/preamp pedals, and though they did improve the piezzo sound they never came close enough to the real thing. With the Rare Earth Mic Blend you get the real thing. Let's say the only downside is the relatively low life span of the battery inside it - around 100 hrs but that's negligible.
