Really better than dominant and they last longer.
Super soft and the sound is warm. I use them for 2 years now and actively play in the orchestra. Great for every orchestra musician!

Good strings
..The Vision line of strings by Thomastik have a short break-in period, ease of playing, and high stability. According to the maker, they have a "focused, clear, open and brilliant" tone, although some players report them to be a little bright and one-dimensional on their violins. Made from an innovative and strong composite synthetic core.
This strings are very powerful and brilliant sounding with a lot of modulation and decent overtones, although these overtones can be quite sour on some instruments, and some players find the tone one-dimensional...

Thomastik Vision VI100 4/4 medium
One of the key advantages of Thomastik Vision VI100 strings is their distinctive sound character. These strings have a rich, deep sound with bright high frequencies and deep lows. This makes them an ideal choice for a wide range of musical styles and genres, from classical music to jazz and pop.
In addition, the Thomastik Vision VI100s offer high tuning stability and durability. They retain their fine tuning and sound quality even under heavy use, making them a reliable choice for professional performances and studio work.
Just as importantly, Thomastik Vision VI100 strings have excellent playability. Their construction provides excellent sensitivity and response to playability, allowing musicians to express their musical ideas with ease and precision.

The reference standard for synthetic strings. Ask how any other brand/model sound, and you'll get a "relative to Dominants..." answer. These were the first synthetic strings to build up a major presence, and they've maintained it ever since. May not be your first choice in 'fiddling' styles, but an excellent starting point in classical. You'll find them used and preferred by players of every level, from students just learning up through top world-class soloists.
These strings are at the level where you stop asking whether a string is good or bad, but rather just whether you like how it works in your situation or not. Every violin is different, as is every bow and every player, so always expect to do some experimenting. And expect to replace the E string with something else; not only is the E the most sensitive to variations in instruments, the Dominant E is almost never spoken well of. Goldbrokat or Pirastro Gold Label are common replacement choices.
Dominants may not be the best choice for your instrument and playing. But try them; every player and every luthier knows them as a reference, so if they don't fit you, knowing which way you want to go from that starting point will narrow your search.
