Useful but limited placement
I bought this to add a removable tambourine to the kit and, while it is sturdy enough, I found the potential for placement is very limited. I would have been a great piece of hardware if the clamp could rotate. Maybe too much to expect for the price but still a useful holder as long a you are not too fussy about placement

It's the same as the others
I have had these kind of clamps for so long...this is exactly the same.
I suspect independent manufacturers sell them to the brand manufacturers.
It's the best basic clamp to hold your rods.
The construction means it will wrap around virtually any diameter.
With the curved rod and good placement, you don't even need a more expensive clamp with more versatility.
And with a Z-rod, you can clamp this on your hi-hat and everything you attach to it will come out from under the hihat,
This will even hold electronic drum pads, such as the Alesis DM10's, which are not the lightest of weight.

Good for the price
Sturdy enough in terms of metalwork but I struggled with the smooth chromed clamp jaws sliding down when clamped to another smooth chromed surface. Eventually fixed this by putting heat shrink tubing on the jaws. Now it's perfect.
