No frills and easy to set up, some durability issues.

Old-school and user friendly, with a nice bounce to it. Gotta love the felt-only beater (modern rock/metal players stay clear).
Spring broke after 6 years of moderate, infrequent use. Luckily occurred in rehearsal, where a spare pedal (DW 5000) was available. Would’ve been a real problem had it occurred at a gig, though. I prefer the Gretsch, as the DW is harder to adjust, generally stiffer and less forgiving. However, it does seem to be more durable. The black paint surrounding the footrest will flake off pretty quickly. Cool if you like the road-worn look, but you’ll soon realise that trying to keep it pristine is a fool’s errand.

commandée pour utilisation sur un petit kit Sonor jazzette et Gretsch Catalina jazette, rempli pleinement mes attentes. Utilisée pour des diners concerts, vins d'honneur aux mariages, amplement suffisante pour ce type de prestations.

Chic - aber leider fehleranfällig.

Ich vertraue Gretsch und halte die Firma für eine absolut souveräne Marke. Allerdings ist beim Pedal nach wenigen Wochen die Pedalfeder gebrochen. Die Achillesferse war gerissen! Zum Glück ist das in der Probe passiert, wo ich kurzfristig auf mein altes Pedal wechseln konnte. Auf der Bühne wäre das ein Albtraum gewesen!

Das Pedal ist sehr gut verarbeitet. Besonders positiv ist die seitlich angebrachte Klemmung. Die Bespielbarkeit ist genau so, wie von einem guten Drum Pedal erwartet. Die Werkseinstellung der Feder war etwas stramm, ließ sich aber wie gewünscht anpassen.
