Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen

I just wanted a simple audio interface so I could connect and power the headphones (it should handle up to 200 ohms of impedance) and maybe put in a mic in the future, and Solo works fine for my needs. The build is solid and sturdy, knobs feel satisfying and it comes with a bunch of softwares and plugins, which are nice if you ever use them. However that Focusrite Control app is completely useless; most of the time it doesn't even launch and when it opens, there is absolutely nothing in there. Also, from what I see, there is only a knob to control the volume of both headphones and speakers, so it may be a downer for some.

The set up was extremely easy. Focusrite's website guides you through the process in a very concise way. I have used it for recording my guitar amp through Ableton (which you get for free with it). I have also used it to play guitar into digital amplifiers to great effect. As for build quality it is built like a tank and there is no hissing or interference when using this interface. I would 100% recommend this device to anyone looking to get into music production. I was considering alternatives however after having used my friend's focusrite, It quickly became apparent that this was the correct way to go.

I use this interface all the time for playback and guitar recording. I can't name you any other fantastic and cheap red AI.

The volume controllers are still great and completely silent (after three years!). The metal body of the interface pleasantly surprised me. So solid and so attractive!
The quality of the sound is also excellent. I wouldn't say it is the best thing I've ever heard, but it is worth this money.
And the most crucial thing - USB C and the size of this cute little red baby. You don't need a power cable for it. As they wrote it on the package: Plug and play!

To say that there is a 'Better' interface out there is the same as saying that there is a better 'Person' out there... Ridiculous, right? The 'Scarlett Solo' is one of the best for exactly what its name says it is- 'Solo'... The 'Sound Quality' and performance engineering is 'Excellent'... The included 'Software' is competitively 'Superior' to more expensive interfaces out there... The 'Sturdy' build quality is sure to give you the confidence you need when travelling or when a minor accident happens... For the 'Solo Artist', you will not find a better Audio Interface for the 'Money'

Tgis is without a doubt the best budget audio interface out there.
1 instrument input, one xlr input and a microphone output aswell as 2 outputs for audio monitors in stereo.
Theres nothing more i need, though it might be good to see if your headphones have the same type of input as an instrument cable or an adapter, like my audio technicas had, so you can use direct monitoring.
You get some free software that i have yet try out.
The build quality leaves nothing to be desired, and it is very easy to use.
The tone is great.
This is perfect for everyone looking for a simple cheap interface, if you need more inputs theres another option in the scarlet series with more inputs that is otherwise the same
