bereft of character
I know lots of people like these strings, which was the reason for me to try them, but for me they totally did not work. It may be because I have an old guitar (a 1947 Gibson J45), but the strings sounded dull and were bereft of character. My guitar, which normally has a very distinct personality, turned into an anonymous non-entity. The strings clearly are well made, and there was no notable degradation in tone in the two weeks I had them on my guitar, but I'll not be using them again.

Nice if you like 80/20 bronze, I don`t.
The strings are fine, I love Elixir and everything they do but these strings compared to nanoweb phosphore bronze can`t stand a chance. These have slightly less highs and air presence and are a bit muddy in the low mids for my taste.
They do last for 6-8 shows of heavy playing and still sound and feel fresh just like any Elixir. Cheers!

PS
Sounded good but...
They sounded pretty good and lasted a while, but the coating flaked off from a few spots.
It wasn't too bad, but I will prefer other brands of coated strings in the future.
