Excellent pickup!
I put this pup into an SG1000 using 9-46's.Replacing the stock yammy which is a little harsh in the mid range to my ears.
This is a nice smooth pumped up PAF which will suit anyone playing rock music whether it's classic or more contemporary ,NIce creamy mid range and tight bottom end which you just can't argue with. You can get the Joe tone of course but i find this a nice versatile unit that is much more than a signature model.Very pleased with purchase.

PAF style tones and not too hot
I use this as replacement on the bridge pickup of a two humbucker Tele.
In contrast to other DiMarzios which seem to focus or boost on specific frequency ranges, this sounds evenly spread from bass to treble. Overall it sounds similar to what you get on a 70s PAF style pickup with a little more output. This is not a hot pickup, so if you are looking for high gain and modern metal this probably isn't for you. But it is a good all-round replacement pickup and great for rock and classic metal tones.
