Cup ring and hand knob in walnut solid wood
Consistent 8.5 mm wall thickness
Wide bore and therefore full, extremely warm and sonorous tone
Oiled inside
Wound with peddig reed and then varnished five times with a glossy varnish
Tuned to 442 Hz orchestra tuning (thus best adaptation to other alphorns or other instruments in ensemble playing)
2 cm "pull out" for tuning to 440 Hz
Very intonation-secure and coherent - "the notes jump in as if by themselves
Extremely easy response
Plug connections made of aluminium - gold anodised
