I've been using vibrato as a main effect for a while now.
Before the tailspin arrived i used my Boss VB2 waza and Behringer UV300, both are great sounding vibratos, a bit more pronounced maybe.
the uv300 had an ugly background noise all the time, and I've tried 3 different models, all had this issue.
The vb2 waza is great, soundwise it's really similar to the uv300, but has a wider range speed wise, and little to no noise.
so i switched behringer for the tailspin, and I really love it.
No noise, slight volume boost when engaged, which I like a lot.
doesn't have as much depth as the other two tho, and that I don't really mind.
if the vb2w was the same price as the tailspin, I'd pick both, but after using the tailspin for a while now, I've found myself using the vb2w less and less, so the tailspin replaced it permanently.
I'm not saying this is the best vibrato ever made, but it is a great one.
I sometimes wish the minimum speed could be slower, but that's about it.
So if you're looking for a trusty vibrato, I'd say you've found it.
