This DMX controller is a bit harder too use for beginners but great extension if you need more features compared to Master I or II.
This Dmx controller gives you tonn of banks to save all your setting for fast callback and one feature that I like is override. This controller is damn easy to use if you know what you are doing and understand DMX. Perfect for small venue. This controller is only desk that allows 16 DMX ligts in that price range. Its also super lightweight and has a small usb light for blackout moments - a great feature.
I highly recommend this product to all smaller venues and performers.

Very versitile
I bought this as an upgrade to a Chauvet Obey 40, just in time as the Chauvet gave the ghost on me setting up for a charity gig in June, Luckily had the Stairville mixer with me, spent a quick hour programming my 30 odd lights (All LED) and a couple of moving heads, Fog and Haze to save the day. It took me a while since then to get my head round the FX programs but they have become a useful addition to my show now. The USB function is brilliant as I work with a couple of bands on a regular basis and this allows me to program and save Scenes and chases to match their tracks and reload them for gigs...I will be getting more moving heads to use the Pan and Tilt and FX functions to better effect. Great little desk for smaller rigs like mine, real value for money

An excellent desk for the price.
There aren't many places where one might find a desk with so many individually controllable channels and features for such a low price. I have used it for only a few weeks with movers and have found it capable of far more than I was expecting when I bought it.
While the instructions are sometimes difficult to read, most of the features are self-explanatory. Would definitely recommend to anybody who needs control over swathes of fixtures on a budget.

Gets the job done
I really don't have any complains, other than that I would have liked if the "blackout"-button were bigger and stood out from the rest (making it easer to find and push while DJ'ing). Also the included USB-LED's "hood" weren't attached, but that was easily taken care of.
I'm still not sure how allot of the built in features work, but making scenes and chases is really easy. So is setting the microphones sensibility during Music-mode.
Overall; I'm pleased with it. I'll probably exchange it for a PC software based system sometime down the road, but up until then - it gets the job done.

I'm using the DMX Master 3 for smaller venues and parties. It performs great. I would recommend also for others who are interested in similar products.

My first DMX board
This was my first DMX board, and once I got used to it, I find it good.
The manual has some errors, and some descriptions are a little unclear, so getting started was a bit slow.

Simple controller
Need some gear to be able for light control when quick setup is needed. Of course there are limitation but for small gigs is enough as for me.
Overall construction on a good level, faders and dial controls is a kind of must-have. Good stuff for it's money.

Best value for money
Bought this as part of a bundle. So happy with it I now use it as my main lighting unit for small and medium size jobs. No doubt it would work fine on larger projects to.

Great features on a low end desk
Good desk with solid built chassis. Lots of features but the manual is quite difficult to read. One thing to bear in mind is that the desk has 16 fixture buttons and the the DMX addresses are set automatically.
Fixture 1 = DMX1 to 16
Fixture 2= DMX17 to 24 etc..
So if you want your lights on individual fixture buttons then you need to set the address on the lights accordingly.

ok to use with moving heads, the effector it's really complicated I have tried to use it but I could not I always forget how to set it, i have sold it and bought Dmx master 1
