Just what it's supposed to be
At first it appeared to be too long for my 14 years old DT 990, but it turned out it just needed to settle a bit. It's actually perfect.

Renewable comfort
The Beyerdynamic headband is well built, has a nice look and it's easy to change. I use it on a HD-660 and fits perfectly: just apply it over the metallic arc and push the four automatic buttons. While doing this, it is important pay attention to not damage the tiny wire that connects the two loudspeakers.
I usually change the headband to clean it without taking my headphones "out of order", but it is generally good to see that with a few euros it is effortlessly possible to prolong the life of the headphones: this is a feature that should be taken into account when choosing a product intended to be used many hours every day.
The headband I received has a tiny hole on the inside part, but I believe that this is not a defect: the hole seems to have been made intentionally to make the air flow out easily when the headband is compressed.

Breathe life back into your Beyerdynamics
If it's been a good few years since you bought your headphones (DT-880 Pros here), you might've noticed that its headband has no padding left to speak of. If that's the case, you're going to be left wondering why you didn't think to buy this replacement part any sooner. With about a centimetre of fresh padding, your head's going to thank you.
INSTALLATION
With the left side of the headphone on your left, place the headband under the metal frame and fold the flap with male buttons up and over it away from you (the wire should be running between the frame and the flap). It's a tight fit, but I trust you have it from here...

Made my DT-770 pro like new
I purchased in 2009 a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-770. I've been using them nonstop and carrying them around all this time. So naturally the pads and the headband started getting destroyed. I purchased new headband and new pads and after 13 years of having my headphones they look and feel like brand new again!

A headband.
Not much can be said about this item other than it just feels very well made. I bought this as a spare for either my DT990 or DT770 back in 2015. Both original headbands still last very well to this day, and this spare has not been used. However, it is an original headband. And that makes me able to write this review. The padding is great, the fitting is easy, and the comfort is pleasant. Beyerdynamic always screamed quality to me. And even so many years later, that statement still holds true to this day. I am very happy with my purchase, as well as the brand itself.

New life for my 20-year old puppy
I have been using my DT-990 for at least 2 decades and to be honest some parts were in need of refreshments. Instead of replacing it with a brand new set I just got this headband and a few foam pieces and restored my companion to good as new status. I am sure I will enjoy another 20 years of great sound now.

Simple job
Wear and tear takes its toll over the years. Beyerdynamic makes it easy to replace the head band on their studio headphones, though - unclip the old one, clip on the new one, done. Now my DT-700 Ms are as good as new.

Very nice
Very comfortable, very smooth material on the outside as well. I got these for my Beyerdynamic T70s but it turned out the grasp of the headband was just 1 cm short so i had to adapt it so it would fit. In these cases one can't really complain as it is clearly a headband for the DT 9XX/8XX/7XX series. Great quality for this price.

Better than the original
Fits on my 2012 DT-880 Premium perfectly. It's more comfortable than the pad it originally came with. The padding is thicker and the material seems more durable. Install was easy.
