Disclaimer: I am not a professional musician, although having played with a band in studio and stage as well, furthermore, considering my musical education, I am primarily a violinist: piano was my secondary instrument a couple of decades ago.
Therefore I cannot evaluate the quality of the keybed etc. It works fine for me.
I’ve watched a lot of reviews and tutorials, and heard lots of pros and cons.
My personal observations…
With a couple of exceptions (e.g. piano, organ, strings), practically no “legacy” synth sounds. But tons of fresh new ones.
Whether this is an advantage or a disadvantage, that’s a question of taste. I personnally do not seek for the sounds of the 80’s.
Does it sound good? Yes, it’s gorgeous.
Primarily not a performance tool, rather, no surprise, a production device.
But, as such, a well integrated standalone solution.
However, it is not ‘that’ synth, it is a hybrid keyboard instrument merged with a computer running a built-in DAW.
I’ve been hesitating between this and the the available ‘classic’ workstations of the well known brands in the market.
But now, getting more and more used to it, I definitely feel, that it helps reaching far beyond my own boundaries and limitations - without the need of being linked to a computer running a DAW.
And it seems more and more to have been a very good choice for me.
