The mouthpiece rim is very comfortable and can stay on the face for an extended amount of time . The articulation is accurate and it helps with endurance and precision above the staff. The sound can be just as intense as the 5s but as a more immediate response plus a denser core in the sound (alsonin lower and middle registers) . Combined with the H, Q and Qm backbores it has a lot of sizzle (even on bigger horns). Combined with a 7,7*,8 is still has enough sizzle, projects well and also has a good print on microphones. Very good for lead, split lead, Latin, horn section
