The oldscool tape
This is what I was looking for, the good old theater tape, tears off easily and keeps everything together :)

Simple but pro option
After messing about with low quality gaffer tapes and other stuff to set up my band's cables on stage and getting either poor results or some venues asking us not to use cheaper stuff as it often ruined their fancy stages - thought it was time to invest in a huge batch of this. This particular brand was recommended to me by several audio engineers and roadies for bigger bands. It's very tough and hardwearing but tears easily and comes off the stage or other equipment without leaving a residue. It's a lot kinder to our cables as well. Plus the matte black makes everything look tidier under lights. Seems silly that something so basic makes gigs more enjoyable but unless you're big enough to have a full road crew doing everything for you yet, you'll know how much nicer it is to have quicker set up and tear down with little improvements. So, yeah, buy loads!

Stage Tape - Always with me
I inherited some MagTape Stage tape from an engineer I was shadowing, and suddenly questioned why I didnt have some with me at all times.
Stage tape is rediculously versitile, from keeping cable managment within health and saftey standards, putting markers on stage, or even doing on-the-job repairs if needed.
This tape is high enough tack to keep itself firmly attatched to staging and wiring, but low enough tack to allow easy removal. It tairs fairly easily, but still maintains integrity in all situations. I will definitley be buying again when I run out.

Great quality and very useful
I bought this tape for stage use, to fasten cables, setlist papers, microphones, stands and other stage gear. The price is fair and it's high quality. For me the most important thing about stage tape is that it tears easily and doesn't leave residue. This does both. Not only will it tear easily (without scissors or anything of that sort), but it will tear perfectly perpendicular or parallel to its edge (because the material has this almost woven type of pattern), which is great if you need it to look good. It comes off easily, as well, and leaves no residue, so it won't damage whatever you're using it on. Great product, would and will buy again.

Finally...
some tape that does what I want it to do. I use it to tape my Sennheiser e 609 in front of my cab. Taped it once in rehearsal studio and no need to fix since two weeks now...so, highly recommended.

Do
Not for long time use!
This is a great stage tape. It's easy to handle and has perfect stickyness for temporary tapings as this tape is intended for.
However, if you were to use it for a more permanent purpose you'll end up with a sticky goo when removing the tape which can be a mess to clean.

Pro tape
Stairville Stage is my favorite tape for stage and public places.
Often I need to lead and hide video- and audio cables in public places to broadcast live concerts etc.
Adhesion is good, no problem with any surface, It holds cabels good enough even on carpets, but it doesn`t leave the glue marks after it was removed.
Matted surface makes it less visible on stage.
I simply love this tape and definitely recommend it to others.
