A solid guitar
Maimuta 09.06.2018
This guitar is done well, as you would expect from machine made instruments. The frets are not sharp , the tuning pegs and pots do their job even they are cheaply sourced. The bridge is very good, you can adjust every single string's height but it wasn't grounded from the factory and the hum would get even louder when touching the strings. I grounded one of the rails myself and tied it to the others with an old guitar string.
With stock strings it stays in tune well even in drop g# and it can still intonate. Frets 1-8 are a bit of a stretch but you get used to it.
All in all it's a simple guitar made for work.

Great introduction to multiscale guitars
Dylk 19.02.2023
This was my first multiscale guitar and I'm glad I got this over a cheaper alternative! It impressed me enough to invest in an Ormsby and a Strandberg. It feels great just like most Ibanez do and for the money it's a great guitar especially with an upgraded nut and pickups.
It had a strange overtone when muting high-gain tones and no amount of foam or fretwraps could silence it but I'm sure this was a very rare thing!
Otherwise a great guitar for the price.

Would definately recommend to someone looking for a multiscale 7 string.first multiscale instrument i picked up, got used to the fanfret immediately. Great playability, and the stock pickups are surprisingly good.

Very good for the money
ericfth 25.09.2021
This is my first 7 string and it's absolutely great. The fanned frets were easy to get used to, it felt like normal after just a few hours.

The quality is like all of my other Ibanez guitars very good with no issues. The frets are nicely polished and with no sharp fret ends. The fretboard feels similar to rosewood, the colour looks better in person than in the pictures. The pickups are versatile and sound great both clean and with heavy distortion. The guitar stays in tune well and the tuners do their job. The recessed input jack is a nice addition to the instrument and is something I love with Ibanez guitars.

I could only find two negatives about this guitar.
- The nut slots are a little too small, so the strings can get stuck when tuning, however, this is an easy fix with a nut file or even just rubbing a thicker gauge string to file it down.
- The volume knob feels like it's scratching against the body, this does not affect the sound at all.
