Quality harmonica
I am an absolute beginner, one day hoping to be able to play the blues. Having no experience in other harmonicas, I ended up buying the Special 20 after a fair bit of research. The harmonica feels like a product of good quality, robust construction and it is also stylish. Playing is easy. My non existent skills aside, the notes and chords come easy and the sound is beautiful.
I haven't been disappointed in the Special 20 as my first harmonica. The Little Lady harmonica that came with the deal is also a delight, huge sound for something so small!
Only con's come from the Special 20's plastic case, which could be nicer. I store the thing in a microfiber (or something) pouch meant for sunglasses.
Alltogether, I can recommend the Special 20.

Go to harp for beginner!
I've owned this harp for a few years now, and while I'm no professional - I do enjoy playing it. I bought it off the recommendation of another musician and have yet to be disappointed!
I normally am playing the guitar and singing, so I'll have this on a holder and use it throughout the songs. I'm not a technical player, so I can't say too much on that front, but for those who perform with the classic "troubadour" image - I can recommend it.
It sounds good. It's easy to play. And easy to clean when needed.

Brilliant purchase!
After many years of playing the guitar, I thought it was about time to buy a harmonica to play along with some blues. After much research on the internet, I discovered that this is seen as one of the best harmonicas around, both for beginners in general, as well as blues. I was surprised to see that this is seen as a 'higher end' harmonica, as I see the price to be very reasonable.
Although I am no expert in harmonicas, I can definitely see why this is such an attractive option. The sound that comes out of this is crisp and precise, which will suit any playing style, especially the blues. It is easy to bend the notes, which leads to less learning frustration and ease of playing.
Definitely one for the guitar bag!

really good value for money
Actually I 'm a guitar guy, and wanted to buy my first harmonica. After a long search amongst other reasonably priced harmonicas, Hohner Special 20 Classic was the one to go. The comments here and some youtube vids made it clear, that it was a good choice.
It sounds good,in tone and volume terms. It feels more expensive than it really is and maybe it a good choice for everyone and not only the newcomer.
Best part of the story? You can have it with you almost everywhere and still have the blues with you!
Thank you, thomann!

the all in one expiriance
So, this is my very first harmonica but i looked around and found that the oldies are usually the best ones. it feels and sounds much more then it costs, plus at the time you get another mini harmonica (little lady) as well and that makes it a sweet deal. all and all, its a must have in your arsenal of instruments, and the price was very fair.
Cons: didnt find any yet and i have for about a month now.
Pros: all listed up.
just go ahead and order and stop reading reviews:)

Hohner Special 20
I bought this after trying the Seydel blues Session. The Hohner plays easier on holes 123 drawing than on the Seydel.Overall a very good harp.
I would buy this harp again definitely.

Harp sounds great, beautiful, case is weak
The harp is great sounding and very bluesy. It has beautiful engravings on the top and bottom covers. The case is ugly and the inside is very lightweight plastic--generic looking. Overall I would buy again.

Classic model
Not much experience with harmonica's but this one seems to live up to its reputation. Bought for fun and it has been thoroughly enjoyed.

Best harmonica i played
I had some good old memories connected with harmonica my grandad used to play one. This is well made harmonica. The price is objective, really responsive instrument. Perfect choice for a beginner like me who wants to try new musical instruments. I guess this is the best option on a market if you want to start your harmonica journey.

Very good harmonica
The Hohner Special 20 Classic is everything that I need for playing only a few numbers in our band. I'm not a professional player but this harp all the attributes I need. It has a great sound and does all that I ask at my level of ability. Typical Hohner quality and Thomann value for money.
