This pickup sounds simply great. The two voicings activated with the push-pull pot allow for great versatility, and the solderless system made installation a dream, though the output wires from the pickup may be a bit bulky for the inter-cavity holes in some basses. All in all, i couldn't be more pleased.

Incredible sound! Easy to install!

Bought this pick up as an upgrade for a vintage music man clone. Very easy to follow wiring instructions. Simple to follow and no special tools required. Literally wire it up and screw the bits in.
Most importantly, the tone from this pickup is immense. I have never heard anything so thunderous. Incredible low end. The coil tap has given me versatility of sound I could only dream of.
If you have a MM or MM clone! Buy one now!

Fantastic sound, wide yet focused midrange and punchy bottom end. typical EMG clarity in both modes of coil switching.
My favourite tone is dual coil mode in the bridge position I also have the EMG BQS fitted to the bass and this dials the tone in perfect for any type of music.

I really love these solderless EMG pickups. They are so easy to install.
Sound is good and battery is still running after a year or more.
