Behringer PMP550M, they struck gold again, I have recommended this item to others who could not believe a simple mixer,( simple,,, equalliser, feedback detection and five channels) could be got at this price and with this quality. I have other behringer equipment from microphones to a 26 ch mixer and provided you dont totally abuse them they last and last as well as any big name items. Recommend, especially suitable to those in the food and drink trade as a good quality investment if put with a wireless microphone, pair of speakers and a music player/i-pod. Also much better purchase than secondhand equipment for a cash strapped startup group.

Om
Ok for the price!
Ok man... 01.04.2020
For small rooms it's fine. A bit muddy sounding but with a bit of tweaking and the right speakers it's great!
Not the best for bigger rooms and no monitor out... :(

I have only had this amp for a couple of weeks so will have to see how reliable it is in the future.
To start with its very compact and more to the point it weighs nothing. Its got a good graphic eq with some sort of fancy feedback elimination thing going on.
The effects processor on it is great and very 'tweakable'.
I think 500 watts may be a bit ambitious but it certainly packs a punch for its size.
I bought this as I needed a spare PA head to take with me to gigs. We double up on everything as Im sure most bands do.
Now the great bit... This amp was 140?, Its a lot of amp for that money and an absolute steal.
Let me put that price into context.. a few days ago I went and filled the van up with diesel.... it took 120?. You know what I'm saying.
Just hope its reliable, the amp not the van, the van is VW. :)

I have had some "junk" from behringer, returned many items, but this little machine has outlasted them all.
Its light and with 2 good speakers, will punch sound through some noisey audiences. So average size (30
audience) pub gigs are ok for it.
Im carefull with my sound gear so this still looks prety good too.
Wouldnt mind trying the 2 mics on the usb dongle..
My home is solar only and this amp works from my oldest inverter indoors, not many mixer amps will do this.
All in, Id say this is worth every penny so far.
Update in 2023- I leave this amp in a bar/restaurant for a few years now, it's used for disco, karioke, visiting rock bands & DJ, the room is 10 mtrs square. Driving 2 the box eco 12" speakers, my gigs are once a month, this little powered mixer is still punching out the sound for all & sundry.
I'm amaised it's still sounding sweet, and it is 👍
