Great if you like black fingers
I do love these sticks. They are impeccably balanced and play nicely on mesh pads without "yellowing" them like wooden tipped sticks can. However, even though I don't sweat when playing, my hands end up black after a few hours bashing the drums, and the black doesn't come off with soap and water, I have to use a scouring sponge to get it off.
Interestingly enough though, I had a pair of Ahead 5A sticks around 15 years ago and they didn't blacken my hands, so perhaps they've changed their formula?
But, this is a minor quibble and certainly one I can live with, but thought I'd mention it all the same. Well worth the money for sticks that will last "forever".

My favorite drumsticks
I play a lot on my TD-1 and I try many different drumsticks.
After wood drumstick you can feel main difference - stick balance.
This sticks have ideal balance in every single one stick so you can change stick on type and different set but u will not feel difference in balance.
Secondary this's real longlifers I like things what work a long time.
This sticks live two year. In this period I break two pairs of wooden sticks.

Best Sticks around!
Before I received these I was slightly skeptical at first (surely an aluminium drum stick would be a cymbol killer) but no. For me the sound of a fresh pair of wood tips is ever so slightly more desirable, however I'm sure I can get further used to these things with more practice.
Pros:
They are indeed tough: I'm a heavy hitter
Sound is good considering the material choice
They look great
Interchangeable tips, covers etc. (I'm not too fussed though)
Cons:
A fresh pair of wood tips sounds a bit nicer for me
The weighting for me is a tad off - too much at the tip

Amazing
First time I tried an aluminium/plastic type of drumstick and I have to say I am positively surprised by the feeling.
If you play with 5A wood sticks, this 7A is what you are looking for, cause the feeling and the weight is closer to wood 5A than wood 7A.
I am playing on edrums and the rebound and holding feeling is amazing.
Do not forget to get a grip tape because plastic is very slippery on wet hands.

Very nice sticks.
I chose these sticks, because other wooden ones very often broke, although I did not play on an acoustic drums, but on an electronic one. The purchase of these sticks instead of the frequent purchases of wooden ones became a profitable solution. Recommend!

The coolest drumsticks,ever.
Fantastic drumsticks! These, combined with Ahead gloves, has redefined my drumming.
They are only 7A, but keep in mind they are heavier than most of the 5A`s. Weight combined with round tip makes them seriously loud.
There is so many aspects that make those sticks unique.
They are black, made of aluminium with option to customize the tip and replacement sleeve when it gets used. Also forget about the drums and floor covered with pieces chipped away off the wooden sticks!
