Personally, I play with lighter sticks and these feel like I was born with them in hand, they're that good. Between these ant the 85A I got 90% of my needs covered.
No need to comment on the quality of the wood itself, it's classic Vic Firth.

Präziser Becken Sound !Precise cymbal sound!

Für Leute die einen präzisen Beckensound wünschen insbesonder auf Ride und Hi Hat, ist dieser schmale, leichte Stick mit kleinen Kopf genau, das Richtige.
Trotz der nicht allzugroßen stärke, hält der Stick, bei meiner nicht allzu sanften Spielweise, sehr lange und bietet präzisen und detailierten Becken sound - also damit nicht nur für Jazzer geeignet. Bin auch keiner ;-)
For people who want a precise cymbal sound, especially on ride and hi hat, this narrow, light stick with a small head is just the thing. Despite not being very strong, the stick lasts a very long time given my not-too-gentle playing style and offers precise and detailed cymbal sound - so it's not just suitable for jazz players. I'm not one either ;-)

Ces baguettes sont assez bien équilibrées, assez fines, idéales pour le jazz et/ou big band car tout le poids se situe plutôt vers l'arrière et non sur l'olive, ce qui permet de jouer vite avec un rebond naturel. C'est donc par le plus grand des hasards que je suis tombé sur cette série AJ que je ne connaissais pas et je dois dire que je n'en suis pas du tout déçu ! De diamètre 406 mm, tout comme la série 5A, seul le diamètre de 13,8 mm change, plus fine que les 5A donc. L'olive est assez petite & fine, ainsi que le col, donc plus fragile, à ne pas utiliser pour des musiques "nerveuses & énervées" ...
J'ai donc aussi acheté les AJ4, un peu plus fines et me voilà armé pour mon quartet jazz !

Baqueta muy ligera y con muy poco peso en la punta, lo que la hace diferente en cuanto a balance, pero un sonido de plato (ride) muy controlado, nítido y muy "crispy".
Resulta fácil tocar a poco volumen, pero hay que acostumbrarse a ellas.
