Excellent medium-firm mallet
Weighs about 200g and has medium firm core with a nice fluffy wrap.
Gets gongs singing without having to hit them very hard.
Really recommended.

Great mallets
I use these on 60-90cm gongs. They are quite heavy for the size, but are also quite soft.
The only bag thing about them is there's no string or hole for string to hang them up.
I find the more I use them the more I want to use them.
Highly recommended.

Very pleasantly surprised
bought this mallet as an experiment of sorts and fell in love with it from the very first strike. I've used it on a 34" and 38" gong and it sounded great on both!

Better than the standard supplied mallet
I bought this mallet to try and get a relatively cheap second mallet to play alongside the original mallet that was supplied with my gong, (i.e. as a pair) which was purchased secondhand locally. It is a better quality than the original supplied mallet and produces a better tone but you can tell its build to a lower price point than say the other Dragonfly mallets I’ve also purchased from Thomann.
Overall it offers fair value for the price paid.
