Works for Zoom SSH-6 shotgun too
I use a Zoom SSH-6 shotgun for outdoor work and I have been handicapped by its sensitivity to air disturbance until now. Rycote's two -layer windshield system has made a world of difference.
The Rycote's foam is a very snug fit for the SSH-6 microphone's diameter. The Sennheiser ME 66 is a little longer than the SSH-6 however I cannot detect any visual or audio problems for the Zoom SSH-6 that might be caused by the Rycote's extra length.
I operate Nikon D750 and Sony A7iii cameras and when mounting the the SSH-6 shotgun with the two-layer Rycote system in my cameras' hot shoes with a Movo shockmount the microphone/windshield does not interfere with the camera's field of vision, even with "shorter" lenses.
This has turned out to be a terrific solution for a problem that had sidelined my microphone for almost a year, so I am very pleased with Rycote's two-layer system.

Protects against the hard winds.
Took this to a test drive and I was really impressed with the results. I had to record in a stadium with big swings of wind on a cloudy day and I couldn't hear not one swoosh. Not on the field and neither on post. Really impressed, specially with such a hot mic as the ME66. Was going to buy a blimp for these kind of situations, but now I think that it's going to wait. The only downside I can think of is the foam is really tight and it won't go in the mic easily, but I expect it to soften up with time. Truly unexpected and welcomed quality. Couldn't recommend more.
