Wonderful on small stages
Has it ever happened that some musician on stage takes a step back/to the side and knocks the kick drum-mic stand away from the drum? If you're working in smaller venues/bars I'm sure it sounds familiar...
I've been using it with great success as kick-mic holder in regular live situations where the 'moving around' stage space is in short supply.
It's solidly built and easy to use on both beater- and resonance head. The only con would be that there's no goose neck included, which you need, but since kick drums come in varying sizes it's not much of a con at all...
For a 22" kick drum I'd recommend the 20cm goose neck from the same manufacturer that made this. Most mics for kick drums add at least 5cm (mine 6,8) which will take you all the way from the center of the head to the sides.
If close miking kick drums is part of your job; this and a suitable goose neck does the job! Does what a separate stand does equally well but takes up less space and therefore is harder to kick around.

Perfect for kick drums
Combine this with a short gooseneck and you'll never need to use a stand in front of the kick again! Fits snuggly on the rim and doesn't slip.
It has no trouble supporting either a LDC on the front skin or a Beta 52 in the port. I just did a two-day festival and it didn't move half an inch the entire weekend. Two thumbs up!

Always handy stuff
Yes, another always handy item for mic placement. Especially for drums & percussion.
