Quite alright
And alright bass. Sounds metal, as Ibanez does. A little fret buzz, but I guess that's to be expected. It feels quite nice

Excellent beginner bass
I started out with this bass a few months ago and it’s been great, I dig the black glossy look, and the typical Ibanez style.
It has a very thin neck which is great for beginners and those with smaller hands, the strings are set a little close and there is a buzz on some lower frets of the E string but that’s nothing a setup wouldn’t fix
The controls are simple and easy to use, neck pickup volume, bridge pickup volume and tone. It’s very versatile and I believe as a beginner it’s helped me find the sound I want for moving onto another bass.

What you would expect
I bought this as a birthday gift for a good non musician friend of mine. Came perfect in it’s box and tested it a bit before giving it to him. It’s just what you would expect from an Ibanez GIO bass.
Feels great, sounds nice, and looks amazing, for a first bass it’s the best you could have for it’s price.
I would totally recommend this to anyone who wants to begin to play bass or wants to upgrade into a better instrument
