Worth the price
This module is built very well. Knobs are pretty tight, you can't turn them by accident. It has that industrial quality like all doepfer modules.
It's simple to use. It can be snappy and very long. Offers three modes.
Very good addition is 2 outputs. You can use one for VCA and one for VCF cutoff.
Overall it is very good deal for the money.

Simple and effective
There's a bit of snobbery in the forums for most Doepfer modules however what you get is something that isn't glamorous, won't do amazing tricks that you didnt expect, but something that is logical, easy to use and most importantly easy to control. The Doepfer A-140 ADSR is a great example of simple, effective design and it gets used regularly to add control to some of the wilder sounds designed. Lets face it, it's not the most attractive of modules and when you line up set of the Doepfer modules in a unit there is a higher risk of falling asleep spontaneously but they are workhorses and worth the money!

It's ok
Quite simple but solid, exactly what you could expect from Doepfer plus vintage editions looks good comparing with standard version.

Great little ADSR
This is an integral part of your modular setup, I suggest buying 1 for each oscillator you have in your setup too, adds a bit of life to your patches to vary the sound of your boring old oscillator.

It's an envelope!
Not much to say about this little workhorse; it works as advertised. And it has 3 selectable envelope lengths. I'm sure other ADSRs have 'snappier' attack times etc. but I never felt this module was inadequate. It even has a retrigger! What more do you want?

Great envelope!
Lots of complex envelopes out there...this does what an envelope is meant to do!
