Good playing aid (if you get accustomed)
Once you get comfortable with it, you begin to rely on the thumb rest, so you feel somehow "handicapped" when playing without it. It helps with fast passages and overall playing as well.
The only con is the hardness of the plastic, which tends to leave marks on the body - especially on softer woods or lacquer - of the recorder, when you put the thumb rest on it. That is why I don't rate it with 5 stars.
On the other hand - the good thing is, when you put it on, it stays firmly in place.

Confortable
This thumb rest really helps, particularly in learning new or different fingerings situation. It is very simple in design and can also be used with other brands, included wood alto recorders. It can as well be used with baroque transverse flutes to help a good thumb position. Excellent product.

Good
It works absolutely fine. Would be nice if it could be made in different colours to suit different recorders, the black really clashes with many other colours.

works as expected, but not useful for me.
It works as you'd expect, but I found the pressure against the side of my thumb created pain in the long run.
