Brauchbares Instrument.

It's fun! It's fasionable! It plays in tune :)
Nice pendant for any lady, in range of colors.
Additionally - plays melodies and it's in-tune :)
I'm addicted to these 7-hole Clams from Thomannn.
I'ts definitely the mystery why 7-hole ocarinas are not in plenty around, as this design is IMHO much more intuitive to learn than 10-12 holes transverse and gives more range than 6-hole.
Now I have this Piccolo as well as Alto and Contrabass, the rest will come in this year - I must have entire consort.
These shells have labium on the bottom, so the sound is much more mellow / muffled comparing to standard transverse, especially starting from Alto and going down but sounding is so distinct (with my very first Alto at the beginning I thought that it sounds a bit "like someone plays ocarina in the bathroom and I'm standing behind the door") but after You are used to this "low-pass" that can be REALLY addicting.
These are like compact Conchs , thus this Clam Piccolo is not so eardrum-piercing like many piccolo transverse ocarinas , entire consort (something like as pictured on booklet) can sound really charming :).
