I own a Wing since April 2020, and I had not a single issue even though it was among the first units sold. The COVID days without a show were a welcome time to learn every trick this desk knows, and it was indeed time-consuming. Thanks to Drew Brashler for his very useful videos, they are a welcome addition to Music Tribe's explanations, thanks also to Patrick-Gilles Maillot for his work and exhaustive documentation.
Today, I use it for concerts with 100+ singers, full band, musicals and worship events. It is very versatile, extraordinarily customizable to my every need, I still wait for the day when I will have to say "Too bad, this cannot be done with the Wing" !
On the negative side, having read some horror stories about hardware issues and service durations, I pray that mine will continue to perform flawlessly. I still regret that the effects rack has only 16 slots, sometimes it is not enough. And I still have some issues using Wing-Edit unfortunately.
On the positive side, most importantly it "sounds" very nicely. With the networking capabilities, I enjoy three or four different work surfaces to the same desk, use USB 48x48 to/from Reaper DAW, drive flawlessly 32 inputs and 16 outputs on stage 50 meters away (Midas DL32 and appropriate CAT5 Klark Teknik ethercon). Using StageConnect was a breeze, I have two dBx AFS2 units connected in a rack linked to the Wing using one singles DMX XLR cable - what is more convenient ?
IMHO, the Wing is a superb mixing desk with an unbeatable price/performance ratio, indeed needing to learn it... And unfortunately, the manual is quite poor 😉 but you have Internet, haven't you ?
