I use it for mixing.. plain and simple.
pros:
it extends well in the low end, allthough other headsets might extend better on papeer, this one jsut makes you more aware of whats going on "down there".. its a little boosted in 20-40 hz, so be aware of that, but it WILL show you where the lowend is a mess..
midrange: its not flat but it does do well in pointing out the weak spots in for example the snare drum low end.. it you can get the snare drum to sound full with this headset then it will sound good everywhere.
high end: very well done and detailed.. sound stage is not huge, but good enough, and its fine for detecting high end issues.
cons: it does feel uncomfortbale after 1-2 hours due to the shallow foam pads. But as I never use it for that log periods (dont mic for more than 25-30 min in a row), its not a big issue. And because of the shallow pads it folds very nicely and to a small handfull!
I wish the cable was detachable.. I am pretty sure it will break before anything else breaks. Thankfully its not that expensive a headset.
bottom line: it will make your mixes translate well, and for me the mix for these and myt trusted cheap KZ EDX inears (yup the cheap ones!) I achieve pretty darn fine mixes. Without monitor speakers (i have them, even expensive dynaudios, but I just like mixing on headphones :-) )
